Ingredients
1/4 cup ready-made tapioca pearls (boba)
1 cup water
2 tablespoons taro powder
1 cup plant-based milk (almond, soy, coconut, etc.)
Agave syrup, maple syrup, or brown sugar syrup (to taste)
Ice cubes (as much as you like)

Execution
Prepare the taro tea base:
In a blender, combine 1 cup of room temperature water and 2 tablespoons of taro powder. Add your preferred sweetener (start with 1 teaspoon of agave, maple, or brown sugar syrup) and blend until smooth and fully dissolved. Set aside.
Warm up the tapioca pearls (if needed):
If your boba pearls were stored in the fridge, reheat them in the microwave or on the stovetop with a splash of water. Add a little syrup to keep them soft and flavorful.
Assemble the drink (layered style):
– Add 1/4 cup of tapioca pearls to the bottom of a tall glass.
– Add a generous handful of ice cubes on top.
– Pour in 1 cup of plant-based milk over the ice.
– Slowly pour the blended taro tea mixture on top.
Mix and enjoy:
Serve with a wide straw to sip the pearls. Stir before drinking or enjoy the beautiful purple layers first!

Additional tips
- Sweetness Level: Taro powder is sometimes sweetened already—taste before adding syrup!
- Make it creamy: Use coconut or oat milk for a richer texture.
- Flavor twist: Add a splash of vanilla extract or top with a sprinkle of cinnamon.
- Storage: Store extra taro mix in the fridge for up to 2 days. Shake well before using again.
- Pro tip: Soak tapioca pearls in syrup after cooking to keep them soft and flavorful longer.
