- 1/4 cup ready-made tapioca pearls boba
- 1 cup room temperature water
- 2 tablespoons taro powder
- 1 cup plant-based milk almond, soy, oat, or coconut
- Agave syrup maple syrup, or brown sugar syrup (to taste)
- Ice cubes as much as you like
Prepare the taro tea base:
In a blender, combine 1 cup of room temperature water and 2 tablespoons of taro powder. Add your preferred sweetener (start with 1 teaspoon of agave, maple, or brown sugar syrup) and blend until smooth and fully dissolved. Set aside.
Warm up the tapioca pearls (if needed):
Assemble the drink in this order (for the best layered look):
Add 1/4 cup of tapioca pearls to the bottom of a tall glass.
Add a generous handful of ice cubes over the pearls.
Pour in 1 cup of plant-based milk over the ice.
Slowly pour the blended taro tea mixture on top.
