Prep Time 10 minutes mins
Cook Time 6 minutes mins
- 2 large tortillas or lavash breads
- 6-8 pieces store-bought falafel
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- 1 medium carrot julienned
- 1 cucumber sliced into rounds or julienned
- 1 tomato sliced
- ½ small onion thinly sliced
- ½ cup plain yogurt optional, for a yogurt sauce
- 1 garlic clove minced (optional, for a yogurt sauce)
- Tahini sauce or hummus to taste (optional)
- Salt to taste
Prepare the Falafel: Use store-bought falafel and heat it according to the package instructions (usually in the oven or microwave).
Make the Yogurt Sauce (Optional): Mix plain yogurt with minced garlic and a pinch of salt in a small bowl, stir until smooth, and set aside.
Assemble the Wrap: Lay a lavash bread on a clean, flat surface; add shredded cabbage, julienned carrots, cucumber slices, heated falafel, and drizzle with your choice of yogurt-garlic sauce, tahini sauce, or hummus; top with thinly sliced onions and tomato slices.
Roll the Wrap: Fold the sides of the lavash over the filling, then roll tightly from the bottom up, ensuring all ingredients are enclosed.
Grill (Optional): Place the wrap on a preheated grill or skillet; grill each side for about 2-3 minutes until golden and slightly crisp.
Serve: Slice the wrap in half and serve immediately with extra yogurt-garlic sauce, tahini sauce, or hummus on the side if desired!
- Add More Veggies: Feel free to add additional veggies like bell peppers, spinach, or avocado for more flavor and nutrition.
- Make It Spicy: Add a dash of hot sauce, some sliced jalapeños, or a sprinkle of crushed red pepper for extra heat.
- Perfect for Meal Prep: Prepare all the ingredients ahead of time and store them in the fridge. Assemble and grill the wraps just before serving for a fresh, quick meal.
