Ingredients
  

  • 1 teaspoon dried butterfly pea flowers about 4-6 flowers
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 teaspoon honey or sweetener of choice optional
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice optional for color change

Instructions
 

Add Butterfly Pea Flowers to Cup:

  • Place the dried butterfly pea flowers directly into your teacup.

Pour Boiling Water:

  • Pour 1 cup of boiling water over the flowers in the cup.

Steep:

  • Let the flowers steep in the hot water for 5-10 minutes, depending on how strong you want the tea. The longer you steep, the deeper the blue color.

Remove Flowers:

  • After steeping, use a spoon or a small strainer to remove the flowers from the cup.

Sweeten (Optional):

  • Stir in honey or your preferred sweetener if you like your tea a bit sweet.

Add Lemon Juice (Optional):

  • For a magical color change, add 1/2 teaspoon of lemon juice. The tea will change from blue to a vibrant purple or pink.
