  • 1 cup marinara sauce recipe below
  • 1 ½ cups fresh mozzarella sliced or shredded
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes halved
  • Olive oil for drizzling
  • Fresh basil leaves optional, for garnish
  • Salt to taste

Marinara Sauce

  • 1 can 14 oz crushed tomatoes or tomato purée
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • A handful of fresh basil leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • ½ teaspoon sugar optional

  • Blend the Ingredients: Combine crushed tomatoes, olive oil, basil, salt, and sugar in a blender.
  • Blend Until Smooth: Blend until the sauce is smooth.
  • Taste and Adjust: Add more salt or sugar to taste if needed.

  • Preheat the Oven: Preheat to 475°F (245°C) with a pizza stone or baking sheet inside.
  • Roll Out the Dough: Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  • Assemble the Pizza: Spread marinara sauce over the dough, leaving a small border. Top with mozzarella and cherry tomatoes.
  • Bake: Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
